What are SIPs?

SIPs (Structural Insulated Panels) consist of a rigid foam core (Expanded Polystyrene) sandwiched between 2 outer skins of OSB.

SIPs can be used as walls, floors and roof structures, as well as curtain walls for a steel or timber frame structure.

Can be used in any type of custom residential, multi-family or commercial construction and are compatible with other building methods and foundations including log, hay bale, ICF, block & poured foundations.

SIPs come with precut channels (chases) for electrical wiring, which can be moved or expanded to suit any electrical or plumbing need.

Framers, electricians and plumbers can easily adapt to SIPs with a minimal amount of new tools and complimentary training provided by San Diego SIPs Inc.
